Dell Latitude 5520 + Dell Dock WD19 Issue
Hi,
I am using a Dell Latitude 5520 laptop. I have previously been able to connect this to my Dell WD19 dock without issue. I changed my monitors to 2 x Dell P2422H monitors yesterday. Since changing these monitors, my Dock will not connect to my laptop. When I connect it to my laptop, I hear the fan in the dock run. The light on the USB-C connector lights up, the laptop attempts to connect to the dock but then the dock just disconnects.
- My BIOS is up to date.
- My drivers are up to date. I have verified this via Dell Command Update.
- The monitors are working fine as I am connected via HDMI now.
- The dock is also working as it powers up when connected to the AC.
- The dock is also powering the monitors as they start up once connected to the dock.
- I have tried draining the dock of all flea power but this has not worked.
- I have tried this dock on several laptops but the same outcome.
- I have also tried a second dock but get the same outcome.
I believe that when installing the P2422H monitors there has been a conflicting driver installed or else there are drivers missing. Would anyone have any suggestions?
Regards

This looks to have been resolved. I believe this may have been something to do with power surge via the extension lead I was using. I had the monitors and the dock plugged into the same extension lead. This is a Power Surge protect lead. Checking on this again today, I plugged the dock into a different socket. It worked fine and connected to my laptop. When I plugged it back into the Power Surge extension lead, it failed again. Since plugging this into a different socket, it has worked again on all laptops.

There is a "CRITICAL" firmware update available for the Dell Dock WD19/WD22TB4.
