Choosing an SSD

I'm looking forward to upgrading the storage in my 7750 in the coming weeks but have become conflicted on choosing what to buy.  I had my mind set on the class 40 2280 2TB drive Dell recommended for my PC originally, untill I saw a Samsung 980 PRO 2TB on another page. Comparing the two on dells website doesn't yield much on what the differences could be other than price (699 vs 429).  So my question is, what's the difference?  Is it just the name, chip speed, dimensional difference or something else I can't spot?  If my system will support the Samsung I would like to buy two compared to just one of the Dell drives.
