Bios Upgrades on 7740 - I'm Way Behind
I have a 7740, and I am behind about 15 bios versions. Is it best practice to update the bios incrementally, or can I go directly to the latest version without issue? I obviously don't wany to brink the system, or ent up in a BSOD situation.
I will be upgrading the memory and NVME drives soon and want to be on the latest BIOS.
Thank you!

While updates are generally cumulative, there are cases where a certain revision is required to proceed. Try installing the latest -- if that fails, back up a release at a time until you find one that will install, and then move forward.

My laptop is out of warranty. I just need to know if it is OK to skip directly to the latest BIOS version or if I need to step them up incrementally. I am 15 BIOS versions behind.

I went all the way to the newest BIOS and it flashed with no issues. It was actually 16 versions behind. So the answer to the question is, you can skip multiple versions, at least in my case. Thank you for those who responds.
