BIOS boot sequence entry lost when changing docking station
I have 2 WD19DC docks for use with my Precision 7550 workstation. One is at home and the other at work. My system is configured with two Samsung self encrypting drives that are locked with "Drive Trust Alliance" sedutils pre-boot authentication. Whenever I change docks it deletes the Windows boot entry and fails to boot until I go into the BIOS and set it back again. The entry for sedutils is still there but the Windows boot gets lost and replaced with an entry pointing to the Windows partition instead of the Windows UEFI boot manager. This has been working for years and suddenly stopped after the last BIOS update. It works fine until I change docking stations.
Any ideas?
Regards,
Mike

Yesterday evening, I connected the system to my home dock and had to reset the boot sequence. It was working fine. This morning I booted and it had removed the entry to the Windows boot manager and replaced it with one pointing into the Windows partition without changing docks.

Odd, initially, I was going to ask if both docks were on the same firmware version, but you've now nixed that.

It appears now that it looses the BIOS boot entries when completely powered off, not just when changing docks. It retains them if I do a restart. Also note that secure boot is disabled to use sedutils pre boot authentication. Too bad that downgrading BIOS is not available with this latest release.
