BIOS 1.18 broken and unable to downgrade

About two weeks ago there was a BIOS update marked as critical in the Dell Command Update application. However, after upgrading the BIOS to 1.18 I noticed a significant performance decrease, including about 80FPS less in games and longer load times for even basic operations like navigation File Explorer or using Edge.

It looks like version 1.18 has been removed from the Dell drivers page for Dell Precision 7670 laptops, but when I try to install an older version like 1.16 it results in an error in the BIOS update process due to a downgrade restriction.

Am I stuck with a broken BIOS?

Dell Precision 7670 and 7770 use the same BIOS.

You need Precision_7x70_Bridge-BIOS_downgrade.exe which you will get from Dell support.  Bridge BIOS will enable downgrade. Last step is to install BIOS 1.16.0 update.
