Added Samsung 980Pro 1T SSD
Was running out of storage space and I added Samsung 980PRO 1T SSD to my 7550.
It looks like that Samsung SSD is faster than OEM SSD.
Would you suggest to move everything from my 250G SSD that came with my 7550 to the new drive or just an OS. Thanks

The new drive is PCIe 4 -- which is actually faster than the system can support (it's a PCIe 3 interface).
If the new drive is faster within the PCIe 3 realm, then moving the OS and everything else onto it may make sense -- if what you're looking for is PCIe 4 speeds (that is, the rated speed of this drive) -- the system cannot provide that.

I don't know how you use your machine but for data security I find it easier and faster to keep windows on a separate drive from my main data so that Microsoft can't destroy my data will their updates. It also makes backing up and managing data easier and if necessary you can easily swap your data drive without disturbing the OS.
Also 250GB nowadays is not very large - windows can easily take up about half of that if you don't keep clearing it out. You could partition it into 2 and use the second half for less important data. What you want to avoid is getting any of your drives near full - that is when SSDs get slower and less reliable.
The Samsung should be much more reliable and faster than the fitted Dell SSD and in normal circumstances I would suggest that the fastest drive should be the one where you keep your most important and most used data.

so 3510 has only pcie3 too or where can i see the full specs of every laptop?
and 980 pro could only be useful if u need more space, because otherwise it will just slow it down to 2x less speed and it would better to find a pcie4 pc anyway ?
