Windows 11 and T1700 - upgrade path, is it possible?
Hi Everyone
i have a client who has 5 T1700 Precision workstation
All fail (as expected) the MS Windows health check with TPM and CPU revision
OK so the TPM is probably disabled in BIOS and I know the Xeon is too low a rev for win 11 so i was wondering has anyone found a cost effective upgrade path fro these old workhorses
Heres the stuff from sysinfo
Device Encryption Support
Reasons for failed automatic device encryption: TPM is not usable, PCR7 binding is not supported, Hardware Security Test Interface failed and the device is not Modern Standby, Un-allowed DMA-capable bus/device(s) detected, WinRE is not configured, TPM is not usable
Processor Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1270 v3 @ 3.50GHz, 3501 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
any help /advice much appreciated

Those systems are too old and there is no upgrade path for hardware to meet Windows 11 requirements.
You may consider to use bypass installation and test it out to see how those old hardware can handle. For certain, they won't be able to utilized all security features from Win 11 24H2.
Just search for how to install Win 11 24H2 on unsupported hardware.
