Will this cpu Xeon e5 2676 v4 16C work on dell t5810

I just got an intel Xeon e5 2676 16 core cpu from eBa. I installed it on my dell precision tower 5810 and I am just getting a black screen, no activity, my proxmox is is not booting up, I went back to the old one and it worked.

I confirmed they both have socket type LGA2011-3

I did the. CMOS reset (didn’t take out the battery)

i didn’t get paste on the pins.

I don’t know what else to think except that I got a faulty cpu.
