Using UD22 Dock with older desktop (USB-C output with video)

I bought a UD22 and it works great with my personal laptop, which has a USB-C output port. But I am working from home and also want to hook up legacy machines that do not have USB-C. One is an old Precision 3420 desktop which has two DisplayPort and one HDMI output. The other is Latitude E7450 which works with the D6000 using the USB-C to USB adapter that comes with it.

I cannot find any adapters that outputs to USB-C with video (from DP, HDMI, or USB 2/3).  Has anyone found a solution to this?

I can get three monitors running directly off the desktop and four from my personal laptop through the UD22. I would prefer not to have to keep switching cables every time I want to switch machines.

A high speed data cable is not enough (I tried). The issue is USB-C Alt mode. There are plenty of cables that go from USB-C to DisplayPort. There are none that go the other way. So I'm going with switches on the display port cables (2 in, 1 out) on the main two monitors and two different connections on the third shared monitor (HDMI to VGA from the desktop, HDMI to HDMI from the dock). If my work decides to ever upgrade the work laptop or desktop, they will have the capacity to leverage the docking station.

A docking station will allow laptop, mobile workstation, to have full setup with peripherals as a desktop computer.  To add a desktop to a dock setup, consider using a kvm.

UD22 is using Display Link technology via USB-C port.  A high speed data cable that can connect your desktop to the dock can establish the connection as well.  Just give it time for driver installation and system configuration to complete.

I had the same issue, I bought an usb c to usb a adapter, also installed sharelink drivers on my old hp laptop. I got the dock to work on my old laptop, hp, but with one monitor connected to the display port. The second one was connected to the hdmi port. Where connected the second monitor to the second display port. It also didn't work.

I updated the firmvare for the dock, there is a reporter bug that the second display port won't work and you should update the firmware. Did that and the second display port started working on my old hp laptop via the adapter. I the connected my new laptop lenovo with the usb c port. The second monitor stoped displaying.

I then connected the second monitor agsin to the hdmi port, it started to display. In other wordu, my second monitor is connected with hdmi and display port. It's a work around, but you need to update the firmware.
