TPM update on a precision T5810 issue

Hello,
I upgraded from TPM 1.2 to TPM 1.2 latest version with the “Dell TPM 1.2 Firmware Update Utility” everything went fine but since then, Windows 10 doesn't see the TPM anymore.

since with a Get-TPM

TpmReady : False
TpmEnabled : False
TpmActivated : False
TpmOwned : False
RestartPending : False
ManufacturerId : 0
ManufacturerIdTxt :
ManufacturerVersion :
ManufacturerVersionFull20 :
ManagedAuthLevel : Full
OwnerAuth :
OwnerClearDisabled : True
AutoProvisioning : NotDefined
LockedOut : False
LockoutHealTime :
LockoutCount :
LockoutMax :
SelfTest:

I tried to update to the version 2.0 with “Dell TPM 2.0 Firmware Update Utility”
it indicate  “Error: The System TPM Query Failled, Aborting” and “Error: Unable to prepare the TPM update payload.”
how to update to version 2.0 or revert to a working version 1.2.
Sincerely

Pascal

Download and run this TPM 2.0 Firmware Update Utility.  It fixed the issue where TPM option does not show up under Windows with previous TPM firmware.  Scroll down on that page for installation instructions.

with this file, it indicate  “Error: The System TPM Query Failled, Aborting” and “Error: Unable to prepare the TPM update payload.”

I run the file with admin rights. the TPM is enable in the bios

I don't know how to unlock the TPM.

I had the same issue after running the TPM 2.0 update utility (DellTpm2.0_Fw1.3.2.8_V3_64.exe)

Initially downgraded the BIOS from A34 to A16

Upgraded back to A34

Powered down the system

Move the PSWD jumper to RTCRST for 10 seconds

Powered the system back up into BIOS setup

Loaded defaults and changed the required settings back on in my case for the HDD from RAID to ATA

Turned TPM2.0 on and enabled

Saved and exited

Rebooted and all okay TPM2.0 showing in device manager.

Jumper 22 PSWD - Jumper 28 RTCRST
