TPM not detected Precision 7520

Hi!

I have a Precision 7520 which has started needing to press F1 during startup because it can't find a TPM. This did not use to be a problem before. As in https://www.dell.com/community/en/conversations/latitude/alert-tpm-device-not-detected-no-solutions-appear-to-work/64a3fb8df4ccf8a8de9fc57a, I have tried all tips I could find online (including taking out the battery), but they all end with the basic problem that BIOS doesn't show any TPM at all. Everything software is updated. I am running Windows 10 and don't care if the TPM is used or not, I just want to tell this machine that I don't care if it find a TPM or not!

Thankful for any help!

Hi, I have the exact same problem. I figured out that some Precision 7520 models were offered without the TPM chip (so I was told by a Dell Distributor). I am also 99% sure my Dell didn't have any TPM related settings in BIOS from the very beginning! So... it kinda looks like a bug in the BIOS firmware (maybe?).

I know it's a 8-years old laptop in 2025... however, if someone from Dell messed up the firmware, I think we deserve the right to get a decent support! The Precision is not a $200 laptop!
BTW: @KnutHunstad - did you find any solution to your problem?

Thx!
