Three beeps with previously good ram after new battery???
So, I was away and left a Precision 5820 unplugged for 10 months. When I plugged it in and started it I got orange/white blink codes that some report as a bad motherboard battery (two white, 4 orange blinks I think, can't remember exactly?). I replaced the 2032 battery and then got the dreaded 3 beeps steady white light. When I removed 4 32gb Samsung modules and left 4 8gb modules, it boots fine??!!
Did something in the bios get reset that was allowing the higher ram config to work??? Did one or more of the previously perfectly good ram modules die simply from sitting unplugged for 10 months????
What a giant pain in the rear!! So frustrating!!

OK, disabling Dell RMT memory testing/logging option in the BIOS seems to have fixed this issue. I also changed the POST warning/error option to Continue on warnings and errors, but I don't know, don't think that was part of the issue, but not 100% sure.
So, all previously working memory modules (4x 8gb, 4x32gb) are installed and seem to work fine.
I will run memory tests to verify this is RMT being finicky, not any actual RAM problems. And I clicked on the "Clear RMT data" option, so I may re-enable RMT and see if that works with any old data cleared.

I have this issue and I can’t get in the bios. After removing the battery I get 3 beeps and nothing happens. I can’t access bios. What is the solution.
