T7610 Part number MF4N5 is compatible with 6MKJ9

Hi,

Recently my Dell Precision T7610 workstation broke the power supply. The power supply part number is MF4N5 but I couldn't find it here in my country. I managed to buy only the power supply with part number 6MKJ9. Are these power supply's compatible? Because the connectors are slightly different. Thanks in advance.

From what I understand, the power supply with part number 06MKJ9 is for Precision T7600.  While it is compatible to be used in a T7610, to be safe, a matching power distribution board may be needed.

Thanks for your response.

Several sales sites report these part numbers as being compatible, but i'm not sure if i can use this power supply on the t7610.

The second photo shows a damaged/worn connector -- the top photo has the pins intact.  Otherwise, they look as though they'll interchange.

I have verified that MF4N5 is c/w 7610 and it is D1300EF-01.   D for Delta

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVpKcSXlNm0

the bottom psu 6MKJ9 is H1300EF-00.  That is for a different Dell desktop.

OP should use 1300EF-01 as keyword to search for a compatible psu for 7610.

example H1300EF-01 DP/N 09JX5

https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Precision-Supply-H1300EF-01-D1K3E002L/dp/B016IFNQM4

note this psu has a different pin shape from D1300EF-01.

@redxps630

Yes, I understand that the correct part number for the t7610 would be this. However, the Amazon link tells us that the t7610's power supply is compatible with the t7600 and I believe the opposite is also true. The 7600 power supply is compatible with the t7610. The different pin shape is due to the manufacturer Delta or Hipro and does not interfere with the workstation's operation.

Am I right?

I think it would be safer to get D1300EF-02 that have identical pin pattern compared to D1300EF-01.

the YouTube video said these DP/N are c/w 7610.

V5K16 (D1300EF-02)

0T6R7 (D1300EF-02)

both have same pin pattern as MF4N5

at this point we need @DELL-Chris M help w the question: which DP/N psu are for 7610?

You may be correct that different psu maker use different pin design but both work. I just do not take Amazon or eBay listings descriptions at face value. Always verify. @DELL-Chris M can you please let us know the compatible DP/N of T7610 psu vs T7600?

Thank you Chris.  that is helpful.  OP please read Chris reply.

his reply is c/w my hunch "OP should use 1300EF-01 as keyword to search for a compatible psu for 7610. "

note 09JX5 has different pin pattern from MF4N5 but still works for 7610.

we do not know whether 7600 psu's can be used off label in 7610.  try it at your own risk.

As I have mentioned from my previous comment, since OP has limited access to other power supplies, it's okay to use the 06MKJ9, which was designed for Precision T7600.  While it is compatible to be used in a T7610, to be safe, a matching power distribution board will be needed.
