Replacing 5.25 inch ODD (RO) with a dual layer DVD burner
I got a Dell Precision 580 tower in August 2022. I upgraded from Windows 10 Pro64 to Windows 11 Pro64 yesterday. That went smoothly. I wanted to create installation media for clean install, so I got an LG 5.25" dual layer DVD burner to replace the full height DVD (429-ABDTthat came with the tower. The existing connector in the original full height DVD is not quite a standard SATA socket. It appears to be a 15 pin plus a 5 pin - separate cables. The LG dual layer burner is 15 pin plus 7 pin and can't detect a DVD. Is there an adapter I can get for this - I spotted a query in this community site that mentioned an adapter needed for adding a slim-optical disk drive to a 5820 tower that didn't have any optical devices.
Thanks.

If that is a 5820, it uses standard data cable 09R6R6. Both of power cable and data cable are included in the system.
