Problem with SAS drives
Hello.
I have owned a 7820 for a while. I transferred 3 SAS disks from my old machine so that I can use them here. I do not use RAID. I have installed Megaraid 9460 - 16i so that the machine can recognize and work with the SAS drives. Initially the machine did not see the drives, but after I changed to the JBOD mode one of the drives, which is mounted on a Dell 5.25" SFF 2.5" HDD Cage+Fan+Trays 88PWP, is now visible from the machine and is being recognized. It is connected to the controller via an HBA SFF-8643 to SFF-8482 HDD cable. The other two SAS drives are mounted on the front two Flexbays, which connect the SAS drives to the machine, via the installed cables, which are SATA, but also support SAS. They are connected to the controller via Dell Precision T5820 T7820 T7920 RAID Card Cable 0K0WKF K0WKF. I tried different profiles and nothing. It is currently on profile number 23 PD64 (if I am not mistaken). My question is why is it not detecting the other two SAS drives? Do any additional settings need to be made or not? I originally bought a Dell Precision T5820 T7820 SATA HDD SSD Backplane Cage Bracket TNNVP M5CHV, but it turns out that the built-ins support SAS and I haven't changed it. When I turn the machine on the drives are working, they feel like they are spinning but are not detected by the controller.
Best regards.

I have dell T7820 configured with 4 SAS drives, all running in raid 0 striped mode. you have to connect your drive with right cable direct to the raid card, link below
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/226834524505
Your card should work fine with that cable. Also when booting press F12 and go down to configure device, you need to set-up your drives as virtual drives from unconfigured storage. it may have foreign configuration (unknown to device which needs clearing first)
The listing has some advice also.
