Precision 7920 TPM2 & M.2 question.
Hi All,
I'm finishing setting up my monster 7920 and have a few odds and ends to make it 100%. Google was no help so I'm reaching to a higher authority. TIA for all/any help:
1) TPM 2.0 upgrade. I downloaded/ran "DellTpm2.0_Fw1.3.2.8_V3_64", it rebooted the machine and threw an error: "Update failed: TIS_ERR_ActivateLocality". Can anyone shine a light on this issue?
2) M.2 question. This machine has a LSI/Megaraid 9460-16i raid controller to which the front and rear drive bays are connected. I also have a 4slot PCIe M.2 adapter which I boot from. Is this a good config or should I look for a better/different config? Also, on occasion I need to work on M.2s from other computers (could be SSD/NVME). can I just buy a M.2 carrier and plug it into a front drive bay?
TIA,
Chino de Oro

On the TPM firmware page, scroll down and expand the installation instructions. You will find the process to clear TPM and disable TPM auto provisioning. Select your prefer method to update from Windows environment, from DOS environment with either Legacy or UEFI.
You can purchase M.2 NVMe drive tray (as pictured below) and use it for hot swap other SSD on the front flexbay.
