Precision 5860XL Tower/Desktop - Intel RST-VROC RAID Driver - Intel VROC
This model desktop is brand new; GA just this year.
The Intel RST VROC driver being bundled is based on Intel VROC v8.5.x
There have been 5 major releases since v8.5.
It is the latest revision of v8.5.x, but it still 5 major reversions of the technology behind what HPE, IBM are making available.
But most important: The VROC Management GUI in v8.5.x is based-on/dependent-upon Microsoft DotNet v6.x, which reached software end of life last year.
That means that there are major critical unpatched CVEs with no mitigation, and now the DotNet runtime v.6 (Circa 2020, 2021) has to be installed on a brand new Dell Precision 5860XL running Windows 11.
This will cause Nessus to flag the machine as out of compliance with just about any major cyber security standards.
One cannot force a copy of VROC Management GUI from 2021 to use DotNet v.8 or v9 or v10 (the latest LTSC)
VROC v8.5.x (Provided by Dell/EMC) DotNet v6.x dependency notice:
VROC v9.2 (Provided by HPE; installed on Dell/EMC Precision 5860) DotNet v8.x dependency notice:
@Dell Please update the available VROC for the Precision 5860 to v9.2.x + ; the lifecycle mgmt of the 5860 XLT is LTSC-ish; 5+ years. In 2028/2029, DotNet v6.x will have been SEOL for 8 years.

The following screenshot is proof that VROC v9.2 (downloaded from HPE) works well on a Dell/EMC precision 5860XLT.
Intel doesn't make VROC downloads available to end customers.
( They count on OEMs like Dell/EMC to customize and release, and updated).
I count on Dell/EMC to keep these up-to-date from a cyber security standpoint. I look forward to seeing the new versions available that do not depend on DotNet v6.x
