Precision 3660 won't wakeup from sleep after Bios update 2.16.1 and 2.17
Updated Precision 3660 Bios a few weeks ago to 2.16.1 from Dell Command Update app and since then my PC won't wake up from sleep when I move my mouse or push the power button but not always. Happens every 3 to 5 days. Only way I can use PC is to disconnect the power cord. Never did that before. Updated to Bios 2.17 two days after, thinking the problem was found and corrected but still same thing... Nothing was added or changed to system (windows 11). Is the BIOS update the problem or is it a Windows 11 update that causes the problem?
Please help !

In Power Management's Advanced Settings, make sure USB Selective Suspend is disabled. Make sure power button is set to sleep and not turn off pc.

I'm sorry to tell you that this doesn't help. I'm a computer technicien with 30 years experience. Changing the Power Options will not change anything because the problem didn't exist before a BIOS update. I just put my computer in sleep mode a few hours ago, and when I try waking the computer from sleep by moving the mouse or pushing the power button, you can see that the video card is active but the power button doesn't light up. The hdd light lights ui and you can also hear the power supply clicking on but it clicks back off immediately. The only way I can wake the computer up is by doscinnecting the power cord and plugin it back in. This is not normal.
And like I said the problem appeared right after a BIOS update suggested by Dell Command Update back in august...

I have been going bananas about this on two of my systems, identical situation. Absolutely never have I ever had a bios update through bios connect or whatever that is. Recently the BIOS was updated through command update, then going crazy trying to repair the computer as it won't wake up from sleep due to some modern sleep or driver incompatibility released by Dell. I have wasted over 1 and 1/2 weeks in resolving this as I cannot simply clear these systems. Furthermore, you guys need to fix this ASAP. Unfortunately found out even though I have bare metal backups, cannot implement them with this stupid system Dell uses because of their raid driver not compatible with the Intel chip without some istorvh driver. I will never recommend this company or buy their products again.
On top of all of this, it has corrupted the driver for WMI system protocol that speaks with the network NIC card which has been going bananas and when you go to the properties detail, under share tab, there's a wmi corruption error message stated that I cannot show the settings due to corruption. I seen on the cake is cannot utilize system restore because Dell for some reason push this bios that is not even shown on their website as a support driver for this device and of course it wiped all old restore points for some reason with the update it did.
* One thing I noticed today was that the stupid USB power policies for many of the devices have randomly, not so random now that I know you're having this issue as well, changed. This is what tells me they pushed a critical update that is not compatible with corrupt drivers and bugs that obviously were not properly tested.

You have two solutions:
1. remove the drive and install windows on a spare hdd and see if you still get the same issue, if not this is not the BIOs issue
2. downgrade the BIOs. I think Dell allows you to do so
