Precision 3650 Tower - can I mount another SSD on motherboard?
Hello there.
I have Precision 3650 Tower as in title.
I wanted to ask if I can mount another SSD to my PC. I want to buy Kingston KC3000 which is M.2 2280 PCI-E x4 Gen4 NVMe.
Motherboard have one slot available but there is a stick on it and it says: "Non-Active M.2 slot for Intel Core i3/i5 10xxx".
Will Kingston KC3000 run at full speed when I install it there?
Best regards Ramzes95PL.

Hello,
I think the question is which cpu do you have installed now. Clearly that slot is not working if you have a 10th gen core i3 or i5
Alternatively you can always put a M.2 drive using an adapter on a pci-e slot

@mazzinia_
Thanks for your replay.
I have i7-11700 so it should be good?
I have RTX3090 and it seems like it covers every PCI-E slot it has.

@Ramzes95PL I would say that you should be good to go. The i7 has 20 pcie lanes ( the i3/i5 10th gen have 16 pcie lanes )
Each M.2 slot uses 4 lanes
