Precision 3420; Quadro K620; Win11

My dad's monitor doesn't have DP.  It's HDMI and VGA.  To hook up the 3420, he tried using a DP to HDMI adapter cable.  No display whatsoever.  I already made sure he plugged the cable into the GPU card.  Any adapting tricks we need to know about?

Hello,

if I remember right, I think you need an active dp to hdmi adapter. Very likely the cable you got is passive

Thanks @mazzinia_ .

It's passive, but this is the adapter that got it going:  https://a.co/d/ezbT4il

Ran into something similar before not all DP to HDMI cables work well, especially the passive ones. You might need an active DP to HDMI adapter for it to work properly with the Quadro K620. Worth checking the specs on the adapter you're using.
