Power supply upgrade for T3600 WS from 425 W to 635 W

I have an 11 year-old T3600 WS.  When I recently upgraded my memory from 8 GB to 16 GB ECC, I got an error message that my power supply (425 W, Dell model # AC425EF-00) was insufficient to support my computer configuration.  So I need to upgrade the PS to 635 W, the maximum allowable according to the computer's spec sheet.  Searching online, I've noticed that there are several 635 W Dell PS with different model numbers (e.g., F635EF-00 and D635EF-00).  I also noticed that the pin configurations on my 425 W PS and all of the 635W PS's I saw were different.  My 425 PS has 3 groups of pins of 4, 4 and 11, reading left to right.  The 635 W PS's also have 3 groups of pins, but the number of pins in the middle group is 10, not 4 .  Does the difference in the number of pins in the middle group matter, and will any model of the Dell 635 W PS's work in my T3600?  Thanks.

When upgrading the power supply, some users opt to get a matching power distribution board as well.  The difference of the pins was to provide extra power connectors for graphics card.

In your case, if you don't need to upgrade the graphics card, you may not need a new power distribution board.

About memory upgrade and capacity, a user was happy with system performance and just post this recently https://www.dell.com/community/en/conversations/precision-fixed-workstations/t3600-is-amazing/67080b8a2be82d76ebe77632
