No post, error code says BIOS Recovery 1
Model 5820, when I try to boot it the indicator light error code says "BIOS Recovery 1" (3 amber 3 white). Solution on the error code page says flash with latest BIOS revision, but absolutely nothing shows on the monitor almost like it's not connected, including a plain black screen or the DELL logo, so I can't fiddle with the BIOS menu. I'm reasonably sure the connection between the computer and the monitor is fine, I tried the connection several times. Tried contacting support but my warranty is finished. So, how do I proceed from here?

Hello,
is it a 4k display ? The bios update will not work if a 4K monitor is used ( is working with a FullHD or lower res monitor )

I am having the same problem. Will/did using a lower resolution monitor work? What is the process? Do I need to flash the BIOS after switching monitor? Does this BIOS version just not work with 4k monitors?

@MRC1969 just plug a lower than 4k resolution monitor in place of the 4k one. Once done you can recover the bios by flashing.
And no, all bios versions have this issue, that i know of
