New 3660 "won't see" second hard drive, even in BIOS
A working 10gb hard drive I put into my new Dell 3660 won't show up, not even under Storage in the BIOS. It won't power up. I've tried everything I can think of:
- - used the other HDD drive bay
- - tested the HDD in old PC (was fine)
- - tested both drive bays with 3 different HDDs (all worked, so cables were fine)
- - updated BIOS with latest website file
- - turned off secure boot
- - ran full diagnostics (all clear)
- - performed "hard" reset (took out battery, flea power etc)
- - updated BIOS with CC (which was newer?)
- - downgraded BIOS with website file
The hard drive is working, the new PC is working. Why won't it power up this hard drive? Anyone have any ideas?

Just a wild guess here. If the drive was from an external enclosure, maybe it has a 3.3v pin, with ability to disable power to the hard drive. On the 15 pin power connector, it's the third pin that delivers a 3.3v signals that disables the drive. Covering it with a small piece of non-conductive tape (Kapton tape) to prevent that third pin from making contact with the power cable.
