Network connection loss on Dell Precision R3930
Hi all, I have an network connection loss issue on the Dell Precision 3930. When I reboot the workstation, we see sometimes that it loose the network connection. Disable/enable the network adapter or a reboot solve the issue. It even happens sometimes when the workstation is in use, but most of the times after a reboot. This is not only for one workstation but for a couple of them and it's completely random. The network driver which is installed on the workstations is the Marvell Fast LinQ Edge 10Gb NIC driver v3.0.19. On some workstations we installed the latest driver Marvell Fast LinQ Edge 10Gb NIC driver v3.1.8, but this one doesn't seem to solve the issue. The speed of the network ports is changed from 10 to 1 GB, but that doesn't solve it. Switched are upgraded to latest version. It seems to be not the network, but hardware related. Maybe a setting on the network card? Does anyone have seen this before?

Hello,
have you tried disabling "Energy efficient ethernet" in the driver advanced settings, and/or the power saving options in the driver power settings ?

I am facing a similar issue and the above solution didn't help. Any other advise?

Those systems were introduced around 5 years ago, the typical lifespan of a (likely) size 2032 battery. Bad batteries affect BIOS and therefore affect operation. Try replacing the battery. If by chance that doesn't work, we can see what other ideas there are.
By the way , different computers act differently to low batteries.
