LSI 9361-8i on a T7810
Hi,
I'm experiencing some issues to get the 9361-8i working on a T7810.
The machine doesn't detect the presence of the controller at all . I tried many solutions (Changing the PCIe solt, resetting the Bios config, ...) but no success. The bios is updated.
When booting, pressing F12 doesn't give me the "Device configuration" option in the menu.
Can someone help with some suggestions to explore.
Many thanks.

There is not much to it. For LSI (AVAGO) SAS controller, just install it on PCIe slot 4. You can test with just one SAS drive connected. If it does not show in BIOS or F12, the controller card is bad.

Hello,
have you checked this ?
Management and Configuration of RAID Arrays on LSI MegaRAID 9361-8i, 9440, 9460, and 9341 RAID Controllers | Dell US
(especially the need to switch from uefi to bios in some cases, to access/configure the controller)

Hi,
I'm experiencing issues to get the 9361-8i working in a T7810.
The machine don't detect at all the presence of the controller:
I changed PCIe slots in witch the controller is connected, I reseted Bios config, I verified that the Bios as updated ... no success. When The machine boot, pressing F12 don't give me the "Device configuration" to access to the controller configuration.
Can any one help with options to explore?
Many thanks.

@Chino de Oro LSI 9361-8i is a PCIe X16 and will not fit in the t7810 motherboard slot 4 PCIe x1?!?!
Who decided this was the solution?

@Talon256 , the OP decided and marked my answer as solution.
As for the technical specification of slot 4, it's a PCIe x16. You can verify the expansion interfaces from the 7810 technical specifications (or see screengrab below).

@Chino de Oro Sorry, you are correct. I read this wrong, the PCIe ports in the owners manual pdf are numbered in reverse order.

@Abidal I have the same issue with the BROADCOM MegaRAID 9440-8i...
Did you ever get the LSI MegaRAID SAS 9361-8i to work?
this is for a LSI MegaRAID SAS 9361-8i in a T7910 but the BIOS looks the same https://youtu.be/lW1elmejxLc
