Locked Out of F2 SetUp - System Password
Hi there! I was trying to be clever setting up a new machine and then messed it up. Support said I need to have the motherboard replaced to fix my issue.
Situation: Did F2 at boot and then set a System password. (like I said trying to be clever/smart/stupid) It worked a few times and then I stepped away and was trying again and tried 3 times with the wrong password and got locked out. It sent me to Support with the below error. Attaching screenshot as well..
The good news is that I can still boot it up, but tomorrow I am going to upgrade to Win11 Pro and I am not sure if it will mess me up. It is my new work machine and I just want to get back on the network. If I have to replace the motherboard this weekend or even at a later date, that is fine, but I just want to finish the week.
The error is "System Disable" D69B0B8D574350621
So, the questions are:
1) Is there a way for me to fix it vs. motherboard replacement?
2) Can I go ahead and upgrade to Win11 Pro tomorrow from Win11 Home?
3) Can I function once they install all the security measure? I think I need to install BitLocker.
4) Are there risks if I can ignore it for now and just get onboarded?
I hope I am clear enough! Appreciate the help!
Cheers!

Hi
You would hopefully be given a release code, once ownership etc has been established, so Customer Care may be worth contacting.
