Just an interesting observation about audio on Precision 7920T
When I originally installed the OS (Win10 x64) and plugged a headset into the 1/8th inch on the front, the OS recognized that I had plugged something in, giving me the option to select headphones or headset.
I didn't care for the sound I was getting, so I searched and found the Realtek drivers for this system. Sound was better, but I plugged in a headset today, and it wasn't recognized. I reverted to the previous driver (default Windows High Definition Audio Device), and the headset works again.
I just think it's odd that a generic Windows driver provides Headset support, when the Realtek driver doesn't.

Anything Windows-10 is heavily depreciated. At least you still have validated/signed 64-bit drivers you can still use for that on-board analog audio-controller.
Since you like Headsets ... I would recommend you get one with only a USB plug for connection.
That means it will use the (tiny) digital audio-controller inside the headset ONLY. The drivers for that controller (if you get something like a Logitech or Plantronics one) will likely be tossed to you from Windows-Update.

Well, those are mainly just designed to be small and portable (not really sound-or-record good). But if you must, then you can get one of these.

@Tesla1856 I'm typically only using them for Zoom. I use a set of Sennheisers cans for real audio work.
