Installing windows 10 in ssd in t3600
Hello eveyone.
I am trying to install windows 10 in ssd in a t3600.
I used rufus to create a bootable usb.
Right from the start I got the message saying "It can boot in UEFI mode only but you are trying to boot it in BIOS/LEGACY mode."
It advised me to change it to UEFI on bios OR
Use Rufus to create the usb in MBR.
I tried changing the BIOS to UEFI, it started installing but halfway though it crashed.
So I tried making my ssd to MBR since my hdd is in MBR. It did the same thing, halfway through it crashed.
So I tried cloning my hdd to the ssd but when I booted, it mentioned "No bootable disk found".
Any ideas?? Thank you

One words of advice, don't use Rufus for this. If you go to the Windows 10 download page here, you can download the media creation tool which will create a bootable Windows 10 installation flash drive.

/ T3600 / Real pain here as downloaded win 10 ISO to make USB bootable install and it WILL NOT INSTALL TO NEW OR OLD SSD in Legacy mode now (it used to work) and seems other features do not work same in UEFI, in fact only once on 8 machines have I got a USB from this year 2022 to even install win10 as usually won't boot, crashes, lack of ram or other reasons on Perfectly good machines and I am very frustrated with a New drive in hand ready to install knowing my new win 10 usb just made will not properly boot and install in legacy mode - what to do ?

You mentioned that you cloned the old drive to the new one. I would suggest using Macrium Reflect Free for cloning. Then after you finish the cloning process, shut down the system, disconnect the old drive, then reboot and make sure that everything looks good. Then reconnect the old drive and boot back up.

Just to add, I moved my HDD boot to an Samsung SSD using the "Magician" software that you download from Samsung.
I realise this only applies to Samsung owners but it was so easy it is worth saying. Magician cloned the boot drive, then I physically disconnected the old slow boot HDD to avoid any chance of a clash. Changed some BIOS to point to the new SDD and was away. I did not know what I was doing at the time so maybe I was lucky but it was painless so am sure it is within the abilities of all.
