Install Win10 to NVME on Precision 7920
I recently purchased a 7920 with a SATA drive bay and an NVME drive bay. I installed Win10 Pro on a 1TB SSD. Since then I purchased a 2TB Crucial P3 2TB PCIe M.2 2280 SSD.
I would like to install the OS to the NVME drive, but so far I've been unsuccessful. When booted from the SSD I can see and access the the NVME, but when I remove the SSD and boot from the Win10 DVD, I cannot see the NVME.
I read one post that suggested booting from the DVD, going into Command Prompt, running diskpart, selecting the disk and running CLEAN against the disk. When I do a List Disk, only the DVD shows up.
I'm not sure what the issue is.
Thanks,
Ken

@mazzinia_ thanks. Do you know how to load that while installing from the Dell Win10 Pro DVD?

Well, from the microsoft dvd/usb iso , before or when selecting where to install, there's the option to load additional drivers pressing F6.
Note that you need to extract with 7zip (by example) that intel exe file and save the extracted folders on usb to load manually .

@mazzinia_ no luck. The DVD doesn't get to an install screen. It only gives a reset option. But, cheated. I used Clonezilla to clone my 1TB SSD to my 2TB NVME. It works, as long as you have a bootable drive.
