How to configure RAID and NON-RAID to co-exist in Dell Precision 7820
Hi All,
I have a Dell Precision 7820 workstation, with a Dell LSI SAS 9440-8i card,
I have 1TB SSD for the OS and 4X4TB HDD for the data,
I wanted to configure the entire HDD into RAID 10 Array and the OS to remain functional in the SSD sata disk.
is this configuration possible? if yes how do I configure this ?

You probably won't need the LSI MegaRaid unless using SAS drives.
With a single NVMe in UltraSpeed Duo, installed on PCIe x8 slot, use it for OS (Windows?)
Launch F12, hardware configuration, and select each pair of HDD in flexbay to create mirrored. Then stripped two mirrored pairs to have RAID 1 and 0.
Go to Disk Management and import the RAID volume as your data drive

@Chino de Oro< Thank you, so this is what i have done, First i have enabled RAID in BIOS, configured 4x4TB HDD as RAID 10 drive. after the initialization was complete, i removed RAID option from BIOS. Booted with UEFI without RAID, in windows 11 disk management, now it could detect that there was a new single drive with 8TB capacity. Formatted the drive and started using it.

@Chino de Oro when i configure the system for RAID, it recognizes only RAID drives, is there a way to configure RAID and non RAID drives to co-exist?
