GPU Failed to initialized with 8 pin to 6 Pin power connector in workstation 3930
hi we have a workstation with Ampere GPU A4000 which has issue with power when we connect the power with cable it did not initialize the GPU and PSU showing yellow light flashing the power from motherboard is 8 pin and power of GPU is 6 pin

Hello,
just to rule out bad luck, have you tried to test the cable elsewhere ( or with a different gpu ) ? (just in case the cable is new and having a defect)

Ok, I've read some old thread here and the situation is this :
1) you need the DELL PSU Gpu power cable . A 3rd party/other brand will NOT work
2) depending on the gpu , on top of point 1 , the 2nd psu may need to be installed.
I would say get the right original cable , and test, to begin with
