Does the T5820 motherboard model P4HVP support W22xx series CPUs?
I can't get a clear definitive answer from googling. Instead it's replies talk about 5820 mobos supporting W22xx chips.
It would be quite useful if Dell listed all the model numbers for boards that do and don't support W22xx chips, instead of people having to play chase the answer.

Please see the system specifications:
Dell Precision 5820 Tower Owner's Manual
All of the listed CPUs should be using the LGA 2066 socket, so the listed W22 CPUs are compatible.

Dell do have the motherboards compatibility list for their assembly line but they don't publish it to the customers because Dell is not in motherboards retail business.
As for your main question, from my research, the board 0P4HVP supports both of Xeon W-21xx and Xeon W-22xx. Just remember to update the BIOS firmware.

@Chino de Oro
Thanks.
While I accept your point that they're not in the motherboard business, they also specifically show upgrading/replacing the mobo in the T5820 manual as a user option, so they can't really hide behind not publishing complete information that includes specificity, to ensure users don't make easily avoidable mistakes.
It would be easy enough for them to publish this somewhere, after all, what commercial interests would be harmed considering the T5820 has been out of production for half a decade now.

@DELL-Daniel V
Daniel.
Not all Xeon 5820s support all Xeon CPUs, there's been extensive discussion about that here and elsewhere.
Thus the request for specific corrent information to be published by Dell somewhere, if they updated the T5820 manual to reflect correct information that would draw a line under the issue.
The truth is, the T5820 is an exception Workstation, notwithstanding its age and the one I recently built for myself and the one I'm now trying to put together for my brother would likely last another 10 years, which is good for the environment.

@pduk agree with you on the build of these T5820, they are solid and ample of options, features.
For my time and effort, respond back with the result or simply mark as accepted answer. Solved threads help others with the same questions.
