Does Dell 7960 come with SATA backplanes and brackets in FlexBay ?
Hi all, I ordered a Dell 7960 tower. It comes with one NVMe drive ( I think this will go to FlexBay0 I.e the middle flex bay in front). However, I did not order any additional hard drives for FlexBay 1 (lower flex bay in front of the computer). Now my concern is that FlexBay 1 would be an empty hole without any backplanes and brackets to install my own SATA hard drives . Do you know if t7960 still comes with sata backplanes and brackets in FlexBay 1 ( the lower one) by default, even if I did not order any additional hard drives for it?

I ordered the same 7960 spec. I received one NVMe FlexBay module and carrier, the second slot had a blank. The lower bay had a SAS/SATA backplane with two HDD carriers. I did not order any SATA drives. I had to buy another Flexbay module and carrier to install a second NMVe drive (plenty on eBay).

@BobL55 thank you, very helpful indeed.
Do you have a link on eBay that I can purchase one NvMe back plane?

@Rain_HH The backplane is already installed. If you only order one NVME drive the system comes with one NVME FlexBay module which holds one NVME drive. The installed backplane can accommodate two separate modules but unless you order two NVME drives you will only get one. There is no one link, you have to search for the item. You should read the online 7960 manual which can be found on Dell Support.
