Dell T7500 fan Failure problem - Failed to initialize

After changing the motherboard's battery, I get these alerts every time I boot.

F1 gets me through okay and no other problems to to come forth. Everything works fine. Win 10 Pro x64  21H1

The net has many of the same messages..   Turn the box off,  take out the power lead, hold the power switch down until the motherboard light goes off, then re boot.

I have tried this with my T7500 a few times and it worked the first time until I rebooted and now it doesn't do anything when I do it.

There must be another way to fix the Alerts for Fan controller failure.

Thee are the messages..

All have 'Alert !' in front of the line.

Unable to initialize Fan Controller
Front Chassis Fan Failure
Rear chassis fab failure
CPU 2 Fan Failure
Hard Drive Fan Failure
Air Temp sensor not detected.

Thing is, all my fans are working but the rear one is now quite loud.

Is this a hardware problem or is there a software resetting needed?

Basically, how can I fix this please?

Hello @ozstar , in most of Dell precision class system, the fans are controlled by firmware (BIOS).  You may have disturbed some connection onboard while changing the battery and confused the BIOS when it tried to initialize at boot.

Try to disconnect and reconnect all the fan power plugs.  This include the fan on the riser, especially, clean out the fan vent on top of the chipset.  Take out the battery to reset BIOS (and replace with a new one again if you like).  It's normal if your system will reboot a few times when receiving power.  Hopefully, it can initialize the fan controller properly again.

Where is the Fan Controller?  Is it software or on the mobo?

How can it be fixed so it can be initialized to stop the fan failures?
