Dell T1700 SFF PSU part number compatibility

Hi All,

I have a T1700 SFF as a home server and it appears the PSU has given up overnight.

• The Power LED code is 2-2

• PSU self-test does nothing

• Changing the CMOS battery did nothing

It is the second time in two weeks that the server has powered off but this time it won't turn back on.

The part info on the suspected failed unit is:

Delta Electronics
D255ES-00
DP/N: 03XRJ0
80Plus Gold

Most replacement units online are:

Lite-On
L255ES-01
DP/N: 0FN3MN
80Plus Bronze

The only difference I can see between the two, is the Delta is 80Plus certification.

Are they truly interchangeable?

Does anybody know if one is a future revision of the other?
