Does anyone know of any systems made by Dell that use a 3000 series Threadripper Pro?

Dell had the Precision 7875 that had some Threadripper Pro CPUs, but that is a newer model than you're looking for.

I am aware of that.  The Precision 7865 is also a Threadripper Pro system.  It has a WRX80 Professional chipset (which should support 3000 series Threadripper processors) but Dell states that only the 5000 series processors are supported.  Having said this the 7865 came out well after the release of the 5000 processors and I am thinking that the 3000 may well be supported just Dell never offered the systems with the 3000 series processors. I can't think why they would have written a BIOS that didn't support the 3000 series processors.  I have a 3995wx that I would like to put in a 7865 system I currently have but I am afraid that if I do the processor will get locked and then I am stuck with a Dell locked processor just to find out it isn't truly compatible.  I have also seen 3000 series processors for sale stating that they are Dell locked and I am wondering what systems they have come from.  The only 2 manufacturers that I know for sure that lock their processors are Dell and Lenovo.
