Dell Precision 3630, Max Vga size
How big of a gpu can i fit in my Dell precision 3630? I was thinking about an rx 6700 xfx triple fan since it is the only rx 6700 available in my country, but it is quite long (304 x 123 x 42 mm), will i be able to fit it? I do not the front fan version of the unit

Yesterday I bought a 3630 from eBay and then wondered if my GPU and PSU would fit.
XFX RX 6700 XT - SWFT 309
- dual slot, 304mm long
I had to remove the bottom two drive bays, remove the front bezel, put it in at an awkward angle and wiggle it around inside the case.
On my 3rd attempt I got it in, put the drives bays back in and reattached the front bezel.
I shouldn't have worried, I think I had at least half a millimeter to spare.

You can review the technical guidebook for Precision 3630 and using the supported graphics cards to figure out the dimensions needed for your planned graphics card https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/precision-3630-workstation/prec_3630_specifications_manual/video-card?guid=guid-064c014d-b4c3-405e-a8e7-ba6d0d868dda&lang=en-us
Example, a double slot RTX 5000 is 10.5 inches, or 267 mm in length.

How much is usable considering the overall depth of 34.5 cm of the unit, i have to consider the front cover and the little overhead at the back beacuse if the front bezel cover?

@Chino de Oro
Will I be able to fit an XFX Radeon™ RX 6700 SPEEDSTER SWFT 309 (304 x 123 x 42 mm) in my Dell Precision 3630, there's no max vga size info on the internet about Dell's 3630 and by shoddy measurements it is exactly 304-305mm (with the 1/2cm of the case front cover support)

That is very close to your measurement. Since I did not install that graphics card before, therefore, can not say for certain. If you can source it from seller whom will accept free return (Amazon), you can always try.
May consider an aftermarket GPU brace or anti sag bracket as the OEM will not fit.

I have a AMD FirePro v7900 installed (it's 280mm without the brace/heat shield) and almost at the limit (would not fit with it on).. It looks like 300mm is the max. another thing to keep in mind is the the PCIe x16 slot only supports up to a Gen 3 card at 265 W max (I wanted to put an RTX 3090 but, will need to upgrade my PSU to 850W just to even see if it will work
