Dell Precision 3440 Ram support
Hi all, I have a Dell 3440 with xeon w-1270
I contacted Dell support who told me that according to the manual I can only use 8gbx4 or 16gbx2 not ECC.
It seems absurd to me that a recent workstation cannot use ECC 32gb banks.
Can you confirm or help me?
thanks

The system does not support ECC RAM.

You can use ECC memory with your system. Get compatible RAM here https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/dell/precision-3440-small-form-factor

thanks for the answers.
actually the question was imprecise, it should/could support ram etc, but only UDIMM, no RDIMM.
as soon as I get the new power supply for the Dell T5810 I'll see if it's at least compatible with this one, which is older than 10 years anyway.
