Dell Display and Peripheral Manager - problem with auto-hidden taskbar not reappearing when full screen

Hello,
Ever since my Dell Peripheral Manager 1.7.5 was upgraded to the new Dell Display and Peripheral Manager 2.0.0.72, I have a problem with the taskbar not reappearing when working full screen.

My task bar is set to auto-hide. When I put a window full screen, and I go with my mouse towards the bottom of the screen to access the taskbar, it no longer appears.

When I revert to 1.7.5 it works again.

Has anyone experience the same, and found a solution? (other than pressing the Windows key)

latest Win11 Pro, Precision 3450 SFF

CORRECTION: seems to work now with DDPM 2.1.0.24

Just to be precise: I mean the "maximize window" button in the top right corner. The problem of task bar not appearing in that mode seems solved.

When you put an app in real full screen mode (via F11), then the taskbar does not appear. But I guess that's normal (by design).

I noticed that some users successfully addressed similar symptoms by uninstalling the application and deleting all its associated folders created during installation, followed by resetting the monitor to its default settings. They found that the problems were resolved after reinstalling the latest version of DDPM. You might consider trying these steps to see if they help in your case. Thank you.

I have the same issue and opened a support ticket with Dell support. Unfortunately they do not want to admit that this issue is caused by their software component.

Further details:

- Taskbar auto-hide is enabled and it's shown on both displays.
- The external Dell monitor(U3224KBA) is set as primary display.

- Drivers and monitor firmware are the latest available.
- Display manager version: 2.0.1.16, A00-00
- With the same monitor it happens on a different PC (Tested on Windows 10 & 11 as well)
- All recommended drivers and software are installed that I found on Dell support.
- I even made a video recording about the symptom which I shared with the support. They still claim it's windows setting or graphical card issue, which is not possible as with another monitor (HP) it's not happening.

If anyone can find a solution for this, please share the steps with me.
And please up vote this issue, if you experience the same.

Thank you.

Hi, thank you for confirming this. I see that your more recent version (2.0.1.16) STILL does not solve the problem.

I am remaining on 1.7.5 and not upgrading to 2.x as long as this issuue remains.

My hope is that someone at Dell will finally bother to take the issue seriously.

Did anyone install the currently latest version 2.0.3.9 of Display and Peripheral Manager, and did it solve the problem mentioned above?

Well it wasn't solved, and it's still not solved with DDPM 2.1.0.24
