Dell 5820 wont boot with Magewell PCIe capture card installed
Just rebuilt a Dell 5820 with a P2000, 128gb Ram, W2135 Xeon processor and a NVMe drive in the SSD flexbay.
Machine boots fine and updated all drivers, once I install a Magewell card into a PCIe slot the machine boot loops over and over with a single orange light flash before it loops.
Paging @mazzinia_ as they always have an answer in the threads I check!
Thanks

Hello,
personally I see only 2 options ... option 1 , there's an incompatibility between the Magewell firmware and the setup on the other side ( mainly having a P2000 alongside mixed with the dell bios ), and you could try to put a different gpu inside... or you could try to move the gpu in the other pci-e 16x slot, and see what happens when installing the Magewell.
option 2 , maybe some pci-e setting in the uefi bios may help

you are quick @mazzinia_ !!
I can confirm that the P2000 is compatible with the Magewell Capture card set up as it works perfectly in a near identical set up, the only difference being a slightly downgraded CPU and Ram amount-
I will try and check the uefi setting and also attempt to move the GPU around as I haven't done that yet.
Thanks!

@mazzinia_ yes it was a 5820 with a W2125, P2000 and utilizing Flexbay for NVMe, just don't have it handy to check the BIOS settings.

mmm at this point in theory the discriminant is the bios version number and / or any difference in settings
