Dell 5820 Windows 11 Clean Install
Hi All,
Please could someone help walk me through a clean install of Windows 11 from a Windows USB drive flashed with the the Windows Media Creation tool.
Setup:
Dell 5820T
M.2 NVME Flex Bay
BIOS 2.27.0
So I have read in a number of forums that you need to enable AHCI in the BIOS and then load specific drivers (Intel f6) to enable the boot media to see the NVME drive. As these forum are older and some reference Win10 upgrade and some ref older drivers, this has caused me some concern. Please could someone confirm if these steps are correct and the location to the current/correct drivers need to download.
TIA

Those steps are basically the same. Here is the current driver. Extract it to be used during installation (load driver)

I wrote a detailed description of the Windows installation process. That should help you.
Regarding AHCI and drivers: if your BIOS is set for the system to use RAID, then you will need to load the Intel drivers (I noted that in my installation process). If instead you set the system to AHCI, then you will not need to load those drivers in the installation process. If you don't have a need for RAID, AHCI simplifies things.
