Dell 5820 Having boot issues
Hello,
This is the closest post I have found to the issue I am having:
https://www.dell.com/community/en/conversations/latitude/latitude-7424-4tb-nvme-ssd-uefi-vs-legacy-vs-uefi-one-time-boot/647fa3d7f4ccf8a8de9d3e30
This is on a Dell 5820 with the drive: M.2 512GB PCIe NVMe Class 40 Solid State Drive that came with the machine.
We installed a windows image we've use on other dell towers before but we are running into an issue similar to the linked post.
When booting if the default is to boot to UEFI it will only boot to recovery mode.
If the boot setting is set to legacy and you select one-shot uefi boot it will boot correctly into windows.
Have tried messing with the sata settings but no luck. Any help?

When in recovery mode, you can select start up repair, then choose option 4 to boot into Safe Mode. Reboot machine again to see if the issue got resolved.
Note: I skipped the reading of the linked post. So, the suggestion may work or may not.

When troubleshooting, opting for startup repair and selecting Safe Mode (Option 4) during recovery mode can be a game-changer. A simple reboot afterward might just do the trick in resolving the issue. Fingers crossed for a smooth recovery!
