CPU fan replacement Dell Presicion 3680
today I received here in Argentina my Dell Precision 3680 with i9 CPU and it comes with a standard heatsink, I want to change the CPU heatsink, please can you tell me if the tower cooler sold at Dell https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-cpu-heatsink-assembly/apd/c253w/pc-accessories is compatible with Precision 3680 i9 CPU? I have doubts and asking for it to be sent to my country is expensive. I really appreciate your help Regards Fabian

Dunno about C253W but the premium air cooler that was shipped with Precision 3680 is with part number T4G2X. See picture below. You can verify by calling Dell Spare Part in your region.
Offers from auction site here, here, and here. Sellers will ship here to Argentina.

https://www.delltechnologies.com/asset/no-no/products/workstations/technical-support/precision-3680-spec-sheet.pdf
Dell C253W is c/w XPS 8950 thus c/w 3680 socket LGA1700
3680 dimension width 173 mm (6.81 in.)
8950 dimension width 173 mm (6.81 in.)
it appears the same oem metal chassis was used with minor difference in hdd bay,

note the proper 3680 cooler quoted by chino has more heat pipes than C253W. it is potentially a better cooler.

Thank you very much for your answers. I bought a heatsink part number C253W from Dell USA. It does not specify compatibility with the Precision 3680, but I believe the system and anchoring is the same as the T4G2X part. The latter is not sold separately in the Dell parts market. I have doubts about buying a used T4G2X on eBay. It is very expensive to ship to my country and if it has faults it is a problem. I prefer to buy a new one. Here in my country Dell does not have these parts in stock, nor does it sell equipment like the Precision 3680. I bought on sale at bhphotovideo in the USA and they sent it to Patagonia in Argentina. It is very difficult to buy good quality or variety equipment here. Thank you again for your answers. Now I have to wait for the new heatsink to arrive and install it. Regards Fabian.

@fabianbe
Did you receive your fan? Does it fit the 3680?
