Application stability
I am having a lot of issues with a critical application crashing multiple times a day with no information showing in the logs and the application just looks to "disappear". I have a Precision 3680 Tower with service tag of ***private info removed*** and I have the latest BIOS from september 2024 installed, as well as the latest drivers supplied by Dell. I have found an article which looks to have resolved their issue which is very similar to mine and I want to check the settings in my BIOS. Now, the problem is, it is my work PC and I am not at the desk as I have to work from home, but I have someone that can check it on my behalf. Here is a link to the articel and I was wondering if these settings are available and do you recommend these settings?

Your system might not have the same BIOS settings as in the suggested link. Your system instability was likely caused by the Intel processor. Review this information for resolution and contact Dell support for assistance

If your computer experiences blue screens or application crashes after updating to the latest BIOS, Contact Dell Technical Support for assistance in troubleshooting and diagnosing your computer.
In other words, adjusting BIOS settings to limit power and performance are temporary workaround, not a solution. Contact Dell and processor will be replaced if needed.

@Chino de Oro Thanks Chiro, I have reached out to Dell just now. We have already updated to the latest BIOS and we are looking at power settings to the CPU now.

Perform CMOS reset or restore BIOS settings to default value before running any test. Anyhow, reaching out to Dell for assistance is a good start. Update forum with your progress to help out others in community with the same issue.

In any case Intel is substituting the cpus if damaged ( and they got relatively easily damaged in the time before the workaround got available ), so.. if the system is eventually not stable, would consider this route (honestly would consider this route , to have the cpu changed under warranty from Dell - they would not lose anything since intel would anyway supply them a new cpu - to have a clean slate and a surely healthy cpu . Personal opinion anyway )
