Adding more drives Dell Precision T5820

the Dell Precision T5820 comes with 2 ssd I found out that it is possible to fit another hdd in the dvd drive but that would only be 5 slots if there a good way to store the ssd and or hdd inside a different part of the case?

Hello,

depending on the kind ( size ) of drive/s you want to use, Icy Dock adapters could be a solution to get more storage space out of the 5.25" bay

I mean outside the 5 bays is there any way to fit those ssd's for example so I can fit 5 3.5 hdd in the bays.

Well, you could repurpose the slim cd/dvd bay, if you want to mount properly the ssd. Otherwise I think you can only be creative with the internal space on the very bottom on the cards area

Removable 2.5" Drive Enclosures | ToughArmor Series | ICY DOCK . by example ( to repurpose )

You can add one or more PCIe NVMe adaptors (that can take from 1 to 4 NVMe drives) and it will be a lot faster than SSDs

e.g. In the UK, you can get an adaptor for a single NVMe drive (needs an x4 slot) for under £20, the dual NVMe (x8 slot) and quad NVMe (x16 slot) Dell Ultraspeed adaptors tend to be around £45 and £75 respectively on eBay.

Then it's just a matter of your preference in drives, personally I like the Crucial T500 series (currently £77 (1TB) / £127 (2TB) / £246 (4TB) on Amazon UK)
