5820 HD backplane

I just got a 5820 and I was looking at the hard drive caddy and there is three slots for standard 3.5 Hard drives and a single nvme Slot. On the backplane it’s a green Circuit board and says u.2 Imprinted on the board. Can I Install regular sata drives or do I need to change out that backplane to the Same one as the other two hard drive slots? The other two slots is just a metal bracket with the plug connectors pushed through it so it’s different than the other two slots

Each backplane affects two drives.  If the upper flexbay supports one NVMe SSD now, you can't install regular SATA drives to other slot.  You will need to change that backplane to the same one as the lower flexbay.
