3620 i7 7700K - Bottom 16x PCIe Slot
Hi Gang
Just checking to confirm the best place for a #4 Port esata PCIe Adapter Card would be in the bottom PCIe slot? Yes?
I'm installing this multi-port esata card in order to (read/write) and gain access to more storage drives with benefit of faster transfer speeds.
Ableconn PEX-SA134 4-Port eSATA
Thank You

I've sent numerous messages (I assume this is 'BOT') and not a real person?
I tried to explain numerous times: My Dell Desktops are rarely covered under a warranty, (they've all been previously owned by someone else)! Sending you 'anything' is useless because you NEVER respond....

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.

Hello @WWII Researcher , your topic was "Just checking to confirm....I'm installing this multi-port esata card in the bottom slot....for benefits of transfer speeds". You then selected your own response as accepted solution "...Bot....Sending you 'anything' is useless...."
Nothing personal but it didn't make any sense. You could have just plug it in and run some transfer test. You could post the result and it may benefit some member. What do you think about your accepted solution? Did it benefit anyone including you?
I saw multiple threads started by you and they were mostly non-issue. More or less of personal preference and/or misunderstanding of how certain things work. I was curious to why many of your threads are unresolved while there are many active contributors on this platform. But I think I know why, just guessing!
Since I decide to assist you, I thought maybe some frank words wouldn't hurt and maybe benefitting you in the long run.
Just some thoughts.
For the question you have in this thread, you will need to check the motherboard specs to see which PCIe generation it has and verify the card's technical specs to see if it match, then you will get the optimal performance. The result is vary, depending on the connecting drives as well. I hope this answer didn't come too late.

Frank Words?
Just some thoughts?
"they were mostly non-issue"
I think we'll just leave this alone ....
BTW, thanx for the driver installs. I was looking for the URL for the complete service pack. And yes there are quite a few nice folks here. So please don't poison mistakenly ... If you read that message, my issue was with the 'generated questions' (not the the helpful responses). When answered/addressed they're never replied to. That's it ...
Thanx again but please no reply is necessary ...

One thing I would've done different is address the reply to @DELL-Cares.
I've seen it posted, or have been told, @DELL-Cares is for in warranty machines. However, they pop up all over the place.
Not sure if "no reply is necessary" is directed at one person or in general, but we normally all get along.
