Tight fitting caddies in MD1200s

I have purchased several md1200s off ebay. On 2 of them a column of 3 bays is too narrow to allow a tray to be inserted into the bays. Any suggestions?

I've tried tlrelocatung some of the caddies that fit easily into the other bays. But this column of bays is just too narrow.

Thanks

Hello @TomT711,

What do you exactly mean with having the "column of 3 bays too narrow to allow a tray to be inserted into the bays"? Aren't they the same MD? Can you share some pictures?

Can you check the affected parts and look for the part numbers? Maybe they are not the same.

Anyway, if they are too narrow to fit there are not many thing you can do to chenge that.

Regards.

what I meant by column of 3 bays is that there are 12 bays in an md1200, 4 columns of 3 bays stacked vertically. On one of them the left most column is very tight fitting, on another the right most column is very tight. On the first one, I was able to put a caddy with a drive intsalled into the bottommost bay in the column at a slight angle with all other bays empty. Then by flattening it out, i was able to insert the caddy. I think by doing it this way it was spreading the metal divider between the columns of bays to allow for the insertion. I suspect that these units may have been treated with not so gentle gloves and the metal dividers may have gotten displaced slightly. I have not attempted this solution on the other md1200 yet.  If anyone has any other ideas, I'd be most appreciative of any suggestions.
