Server 2012-R2 and PV-132T

Server Details
Dell: PowerEdge R710
Mem: 24 GB
Preocessor Dual Intel Xeon E5620 @ 2.4 GHz
OS: Windows 2012-R2 Standard Updated 6/23/23

Application:
Backup App: ARCServe 18.0

Library Details:

Tape Library: Dell PV-132T
Tape Drive: IBM ULTRIUM-TD3 SCSI Sequential Device

1. Initial Problem - the tape driver device driver was accidentally deleted. This resulted in
ARCServe reporting all tapes dismounted. Tried to mount but Error "Device offline"
2. Checked Device Manager and noted Tape Drive missing.

3. Downloaded the Dell Driver pack R103278.exe
4. Installed drive pack using the Device Manager.
5. Tape Library was installed as Medium Changer but Tape Drive did not install.
6. The LTO3 Device should appear during the installation but it is not shown in the Add Hardware dialog box.
7. Have removed and reinstalled the Library and Tape Drive 3 times with the same result.

Is there a better driver package? How can I get the tape drive reinstalled to get my tape backups working?

Thanks

windows would see the drives even if there was no drivers installed.

have you tried rebooting the server?

how were they deleted?
