Multiple errors on TL2000 tape library

I recently have been having problems with my TL2000 Library (F.11/3.20e firmware) with a LTO8 ULT3580-HH8 drive (J4D1 firmware).

Firstly, the I/O slot won't open and would give me a "A1 80" error. When I verify my library, it also gives me the same error. When I manually depress the I/O slot lock, it unlocks well from the magazine.

The other error I'm getting are "bad tape" designations on my cartridge. I used 2 brand new LTO8 tapes and 1 cleaning cartridge and get this error in the Inventory menu.

When I use Veeam, I try to erase the tape and get drive errors. I ran ITDT and wouldn't get beyond any area that needs to mount a test tape from slot 1 or the I/O slot. However, I can manually move cartridges between slots and into my drive so it's not something mechanical.

Lastly, when I clean the drive from the TL2000 web interface, it fails with error code 61.

Is there a root cause to all these problems? Any insight would be helpful.

Hello Ipreferpie,

Can I get you to send me the library & drive dump logs I can review them to see what is going on?  Here is a link on how to get the logs if you need it. https://dell.to/2ANxJJ6

I will send you a private message so that you can send me the logs.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the help. During this time, the vendor checked it was a hardware problem and I'll get an exchange. Hope the replacement will work out.
